Since this is the 1st lesson in the Shot Making Academy, let's make sure you understand what you need to do in order to get the most out of your lessons.
The main goal of Billy Casper's Shot Making Academy is to teach you how to shape your golf shots in order to play better golf. The secondary goal is to give you the kind of understanding of the golf swing that will allow you to be your own teacher and improve your swing by knowing how to change what is not working.
If you work your way through all 54 Lessons using the instruction in the Instruction Panel, you will meet both of these goals. Let me know how you are doing.

Start your practice with a 7 iron and use a half swing. You are not interested in distance. Make the shot fly the way it is described.
Moniter your Grip, Stance, Ball Position and Hand Position after each shot.
Continue hitting shots from this position until you consistantly achieve the desired shot shape.
If you are having trouble making solid contact with the ball, try placing a glove or towel in your right arm pit and keeping it there throughout the swing. This will keep you connected and help your tempo.
